Starting Your Core Group
In a conversation about parenting teenagers, Dr. Becky Kennedy distinguished between an explorer, who has a home base, and a nomad, who does not.
“Knowing they have a home base gives them a lot of confidence in their exploration.”
The same is true for entrepreneurs. You go out into the world, explore, test ideas and try new things, and what drives that confidence is always having a safe space to come back to and a group who has your back.
A core group is a small circle of people who meet consistently to help each other think more clearly, make better decisions, and get through the hard seasons. You don’t need to join an organization to have one. You can create your own.
Below you’ll find who to invite, the ground rules that keep a group safe, an invitation template, and a simple meeting format to get you started.
